The TT-Sense® enables optimization of a vessel’s performance in accordance with the SEEMP legislation and IMO requirements, using the latest techniques. The actual thrust measurement is obtained through an extremely accurate optical sensor technology. As a result of this non-contact sensor technology, the TT-Sense® thrust and torque measuring system is maintenance free.
The TT-Sense® can be can be installed easily on both new building and existing vessels, instead of the T-Sense®, as a standalone system or as an integrated system to enable also fuel consumption measurement, energy consumption, SFOC and total power.
The added value of measuring also the shaft’s thrust by the TT-Sense® is that it can separate engine efficiency, propeller efficiency and hull efficiency. This enables Shipowners to act effectively and efficiently at the right time and plan ahead. Since the fuel and operational costs will be reduced remarkably, the ROI will only be a few months.
Besides the standard output of a thrust, torque, shaft speed and power signal, the TT-Sense® can also be combined with VAF fuel consumption flow meters, Viscosense3D enabling mass flow measurement, GPS, anemometer, inclinometer, draught meters and more sensors, for your vessel’s performance monitoring, only through a SPU3 Signal Processing Unit. Upon request, this system can also transmit the measured raw data to your office.
