Per the first of January 2023, all sailing vessels above 5000 GT are obliged to fulfill the latest IMO EEXI regulations regarding their propulsion Energy Efficiency. In order to fulfill these EEXI regulations, the majority of the sailing vessels have to limit their shaft power.
For this Shaft Power Limitation (ShaPoLi), VAF has developed the VAF ShaPoLi solution.
VAF approved & installed ShaPoLi solution consists of the following components (as prescribed by the IMO EEXI regulations):
- VAF T-Sense Optical shaft power/torque meter
- Data collection system
- Data visualization and interfacing touch screen
- Alarm I/O
VAF ShaPoLi solution can also work with existing Type Approved 3rdparty shaft power/torque meters, if available.
